"We really swam well against Fridley," said Wildcat head coach Ed Wakefield. "I figured it was going to be a really close meet, but we pretty much ran away with it. We had many good swims, but going 1,2,3 in the 200 freestyle early in the meet really helped out.
"I am sure this is the first time we have had a winning record this far into the North Suburban Conference season. This win puts us at 3-2 with three meets to go. We have a real good chance of finishing the conference season at 500. This has not happened since joining the NSC," the coach added.
The Wildcats travel to St. Louis Park to swim against Benilde-St. Margaret's at 6:00 tonight (October 11). Saturday, October 13 CL competes in a True Team Meet at Monticello, beginning at 9 a.m.
