He is preceded in death by parents G.A. Lindskog II and Estelle.
Butch is survived by his wife of 40 magnificent years, Susan Dayton Lindskog; sons: Sheldon (Jeanne), Conrad (Denise), and grandchildren: Jesse, Kayla, Nick and Marissa.
He was born in Oak Park, IL and grew up in Barrington, IL. Graduated from Barrington Consolidated high school in Illinois. He received a BA in Spanish from Hamline University and an MA in Latin American Studies from NE Illinois University. He was a member of Phi Delta and Alpha Tau Omega fraternities and also a member of the Masonic Lodge 287 in Lindstrom.
Butch worked at Marathon Oil in Illinois, Fisher Nut in St. Paul, and Plastic Products Co. Inc. in Lindstrom.
He enjoyed music, hunting, fishing and all things outdoors. He was passionate about family and life long relationships. He loved research particularly history and genealogy.
A gathering of family and friends will be planned on the Gunflint Trail later this summer.
