Staff members have named Sean Donovan and Justin Pnewski as Students of the Month for April at TRIO Wolf Creek Distance Learning Charter School. These students will receive a certificate and trophy for their achievement.

Sean Donovan is a senior from Marine. Sean has attended TRIO Wolf Creek since his freshman year and will graduate this fall.

Sandy Flint, Sean's learning manager, explains why she nominated him, "He is an exceptional student who is very dedicated to his academics. He delves into his studies, exploring each topic in depth. He spent his junior and senior year taking classes at the University of Minnesota and has been highly successful.  This term he is balancing taking a Chemistry class at TRIO as well as a class at the U of M, with exceptional performance."

Justin Pnewski lives in St. Paul. He also will be graduating this spring.

"First quarter Justin was on the ball and work was completed. Second quarter was a struggle, although this quarter Justin was my only student to be on track at midterm. He is a hard worker and spends long hours on NovaNet and class server.  He consistently sends email updates and turns in paper work in a timely manner.  He has a great personality and is always thinking positive," exclaims Cassie Gaede, his learning manager. "He is very motivated. I have nominated him in the past and this quarter he deserves it the most!"
