Friday, February 1, the Vikings totaled 125.1 points, but non-conference opponent Rush City/Pine City/Hinckley-Finlayson scored 130.65 to earn the win. Tuesday, February 5, the Vikings caucused with St. Anthony and handed the Huskies a 126.95-123.475 defeat.
"We stayed on the beam!" said Viking head coach Holly Saunders about the contest with RPHF. "The meet was fun. We had no falls on the beam. For varsity, that was a goal of ours."
Kassie Salo was the top NB performer with an all-around score of 33. Sam Jannings was close behind with 32.25.
Salo's 34.175 led the way for the Vikings against St. Anthony in the team's best score of the season. Her all-around score was good enough for second individually and she took second in all four events. Jannings took first in vault and third in the other three events.
Next up for the Vikings is the Section 7AA Meet at St. Francis Friday, February 15 beginning at 5 p.m.
