Two unoccupied residences in Taylors Falls burned Saturday February 16 and two other homes were forcibly entered and it appeared someone had tried to start those two on-fire. The Chisago County Sheriff's department offers a reward for information leading to an arrest in these incidents.

Sheriff Todd Rivard's office released a statement offering up to $2,000 in reward money, the city is contributing $1,000 and the county the other half.

The photo shows one of the two homes that burned. The houses were "for sale" and had been vacant. The homes that burned were a few blocks apart, on Maple Street and Military Road.

The first fire was called in about 2 a.m. and the second homesite was reported 5 a.m. Feb. 16.

In checking Taylors Falls neighborhoods deputies located the additional two sites where, upon examination it was determined somebody had also "attempted to start these houses on fire," according to the sheriff's department.

The four cases are being investigated by the sheriff along with Minnesota Fire Marshal assistance. To submit any tips that would aid in the investigation and would qualify you for the reward call 257-4100.
