The Wildcat gymnasts defeated Irondale/Spring Lake Park by a score of 128.300 to 112.825 Thursday, January 24 at Chisago Lakes.

Wildcat senior Britni Harris won the vault, bars, floor exercise and the all-around competition. Classmate Andrea Olson won the remaining event, the balance beam.

Alicia Sokol set personal records on the vault and balance beam. Cassie Schlegel had personal bests on the bars and floor exercise. Sam Thomsen set new personal marks on the beam and in her all-around score. Carissa O'Kane recorded her best-ever score in the floor exercise.

"I believe that every meet we've had one or more gymnasts set personal records on an event," said Wildcat head coach Brett Kjos. It really shows how hard the girls are working in practice and how much they have improved. I am really impressed.

"The girls did a fantastic job, We were missing Amanda Bergerson from this meet. The gymnasts who replaced her in the lineup (Alicia Sokol and Carissa O'Kane) did an outstanding job," Kjos added.
