Jack was born June 30, 1925 at Rush City to John and Hattie Krueger. He graduated from Rush City High School in 1943. He joined the US Marines attaining the rank of Cpl. On August 18, 1945 he married June Ellefson at Camp Lejuene. After the war the couple farmed near Rush City. After selling the farm they moved to Chisago City where Jack managed the Co-op and then before his retirement worked at Chisago Lakes Hospital. Jack enjoyed golfing, riding his red tractors, collecting stamps, coins and gardening.
Jack is survived by his wife June, son Craig and wife Dianna of Rosemount, daughters Janice of Orlando, Dovelyn of Las Vegas, Jaclyn and her husband Glenn Law of Chisago City, grandchildren Mahrnee Scheer, Teige Cahill, John Krueger, Katie Krueger, Bobbie Sue Law, great-granddaughter Payton Cahill, sisters Merlyn Swanson, Medora McDermaid, and Sydell Picone.
Funeral services were Wed. July 2 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chisago City with Rev. Mike Peterson, Officiating. Music was provided by Joy Sietsema and Don Peterson. Military Honors were provided by Legion Post 272. Interment in Chisago Memorial Park. Grandstrand Funeral Home handled arrangements.
