Raymond "Buck" Scott formerly of the Shafer area died Friday July 11 at Aspirus Hospital is Wausau, Wisc. at the age of 83.

Buck was born August 30, 1924 at Garner, IA to Hans and Fronia Scott. On April 5, 1952 he married Louise C. Williams in Mason City, IA. He served in the Army and the Air Force. Buck had a small dairy in the Shafer area. He worked at Doboy Foods, Land-o-Lakes, and retired from the Hazelden Foundation.

Buck was preceded in death by his wife Louise in 1991, his parents, son Lee, granddaughter Dawn, brothers Eldo, Willard, Harold, sisters Esther Major and Leona Wilkenson. He is survived by his daughters Rebecca (Gerald) Gleich of Deerbrook, WI. Amy Vondrasek of Ohio, sons Mark of Centuria, Dave (Sarah) of Chisago City, Jay of St. Croix Falls, sisters Irene Kelly, Evelyn Skjeie, 4 Grandchildren, 6 Step-Grandchildren, and 3 Step-Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday July 15 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Osceola with Intern Doug Andersen, officiating. Interment with military honors in Kahbakong Cemetery, in Taylors Falls, MN.
