Funeral services for Rosemary Ruth Hovde, age 77, of Albert Lea will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Church of St. Theodore. Father John Traufler and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be at St. Theodore's Cemetery. Visitation from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. Rosemary died Sunday, July 13, 2008 at her home.

Rosemary Ruth Hovde was born June 16, 1931 to Laurens and Ruth (O'Connell) Workman in Minneapolis, MN. She grew up in Minneapolis and was a 1949 graduate of Roosevelt High School. She married Gordon W. Hovde on May 5, 1954 in Minneapolis. Rosemary was a homemaker and has been a resident of Albert Lea for 22 years and a member of the Church of St. Theodore.

Survivors include husband Dr. Gordon Hovde; children, Patrick Hovde of Minneapolis, Paul ( Lisa) Hovde of Chaska, Katie Hovde of Moundsview, Lisa (Dennis) Tomfohrde of Osceola, WI, Christopher Hovde of West Hollywood, CA, Charles (Lisa) Hovde of Alden, Rosanna (David) Steffen of Stacy, MN; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Dan (Marlene) Workman of Chaska; and nieces and nephews.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her father Laurens Workman; mother, Ruth Workman; brothers Laurence Workman and James Workman and sister, Pat Quinlivan.
