The projects were completed this past spring, and after the science fairs, they were displayed in the Chisago County Government Center lobby for several weeks.
The Environmental Services Award was given to these students because their projects demonstrated an understanding of current environmental, conservation, and scientific issues.
The project topics included: habitat degradation, conservation of resources, alternative energy sources, pollution problems, and chemicals in our food and drink.
The students from Taylors Falls Elementary were: Mariah Olson, Alli Carlson, Andrea Stelmack, Sarah Plank, and Noah Young. The students from Lakeside Elementary were Kris Oja, Makayla Spetzman, Kaitlin Norton, Cam D'Incau, and Cole Anderson (not pictured).
