The Karl Oskar House south of Lindstrom in Ki-Chi-Saga County Park is open this summer on Sundays, from 1 to 4 p.m. Call for appointments if you plan on arriving with a large group, 257-2519 or 257-5855.

The Karl Oskar House was originally built in the 1860s by the Carl Linn family. The structure was donated to the Lindstrom Historical Society in 1995 by owners Gerald and Urban Holt. It was moved to public property, currently overlooking South Center Lake and Glader Cemetery which is the oldest Swedish Cemetery in Minnesota. The house and site-- Nya Duvemala --was dedicated June 27, 1996. The King and Queen of Sweden visited as Honored Guests at the house September 13, 1996. Pictured is exterior of house and one of the rooms inside with a weaver seated at the loom.
