He was born June 29, 1927 to Charles J. and Elsie Wilberg in Taylors Falls Hospital. He was educated in Taylors Falls Schools and the University of Minnesota.
Charles was a farmer by choice and farmed his grandparents' farm with his father. In 1963, with his wife Gloria and five children and his father, he moved to Osceola Wisconsin. He enjoyed farming and served on various boards in Chisago and Polk Counties, including Polk County Board of Supervisors.
The world weather and food supply were his concerns, always. Charles was also a documented donor to the Tissue Society for Burn Victims.
Charles is survived by his wife Gloria and four sons and a daughter: Charles J. (Karen) of Antioch, Illinois, David and Robert of Osceola, Thomas of Carlsbad, California, Mary Westervelt (Bruce) of Madison, Wisconsin. He is also survived by three grandsons, Robert, Michael and David, all of Madison, Wisconsin.
Cremation was requested and no services are planned, but a "Remembering Charles Wilberg Day" will take place in August.
