On their way to completing their sixth consecutive undefeated Northwest Suburban Conference season, the Wildcats earned seven of the 19 spots on the NWSC all-conference team. The 'Cats honored by the conference were;
Tim Johnson
Philip Bottjen
Mark Sandgren
Steve Wagner
Allen Nickelson
Corbin Peterson
and Erinn Bloomer
Wagner and Sandgren also earned Individual Academic Achievement Awards. To be eligible for the award, skiers must be members of their team's six-skier section team while maintaining a grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
Eight of the 19 NWSC all-conference girls are members of the Wildcat squad. They are:
Simone Raedeke
Katy Garbe
Katy Boyer
Kate Wright
Melinda Beyer
Teresa Sandberg
Jennifer Sandberg
and Amanda Angel
Three of those all-NWSC girls, Raedeke, Beyer and Wright, also qualified for the Individual Academic Achievement Award.
Garbe, Raedeke, Angel, Boyer, Beyer and Wright combined to win the Section 7AA team title. The sixsome went on to place fourth at the State Alpine Ski Meet at Giants Ridge in Biwabik.
Raedeke placed 16th in the individual portion of the state meet, earning a spot on the All-State team. Garbe and Angel were named honorable mention All-State.
Nick Engelbrekt and Angel were granted Most Improved Skier awards. Raedeke and Johnson received Most Valuable Skier awards at the season ending awards program.
