John F. Schoen, of Lindstrom, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at the Margaret Parmly Residence at the age of 70.

John was born May 14, 1937, at Bayridge Hospital, Brooklyn, New York, to M. George and Beatrice Schoen.

He graduated from St. Mary's High School in Massapequa, NY, in 1956. October 25, 1958, he married Charlotte J. Gustafson, at St. Rose of Lima Church, in Massapequa, NY.

He served in the US Air Force for four years and retired from 3M with 30 years service as a security guard. John served on the Lindstrom Volunteer Fire Department for 24 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry, construction, travel and his grandchildren.

John is preceded in death by his father M. George Schoen.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Charlotte; children: Pat (Cathy) Schoen, Pamela (Dan) Davey, Paulie (Roy) Hardwick; mother Beatrice Schoen; grandchildren: Derek, Tom Schoen, Logan, Madison, Davey, John, Hannah Hardwick; brother George (Joanne) Schoen; many other relatives and friends.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Al Backmann at St. Bridget of Sweden Church, in Lindstrom, Wednesday, March 26. Interment with military honors in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home, Lindstrom.
