Bemidji State University senior Sheena Devine etched her name into BSU history becoming just the second BSU athlete to garner three national championships. Devine earned her third consecutive national championship in the shot put, including her second straight indoor titile. She won the event on her last attempt by throwing 52 feet, 4.5 inches.

Devine has been selected as a focus in Sports Illustrated's "Faces In The Crowd" column. She is a 2003 North Branch High School graduate and is the daughter of Patrick and Pat Devine of Harris.

Bemidji State University senior Joe Remitz earned the fifth All-American accolade of his career as he placed sixth in the men's weight throw at the Myers Field House in Mankato, Minn. Friday March 14. He also earned All-American recognition for placing second in the men's shot put.

Remitz, a 2002 North Branch High School graduate, became the first BSU track and field athlete to earn All-American accolades in two events at the indoor national championships. He is the son Joseph and Colleen Remitz of Cass Lake, Minnesota.
