The North Branch boys continued to improve with a fifth-place finish at Pheasant Acres Tuesday, April 22. After recording scores of 187 and 178 in their first two North Suburban Conference meets, the Vikings carded a 163 at the Maple Grove course.

Eighth grader Jared Houle led the charge with a four over 39 and junior Mike Dahl was right behind with a 40. "Jared was very steady and his score showed it," said Viking head coach Tom Moriarty. "And Mike was really hittin' the ball. He hit two balls into the water or he really could have had a nice score."
