Between cold fronts and rain storms, the Viking tennis team managed to squeeze in two conference meets last week. Tuesday, April 29, they lost 7-0 to St. Louis Park and Thursday, May 1 they fell, by the same score, to Benilde-St. Margaret's.

"It was a really tough day for the team, playing the sixth-ranked team in the state," commented Viking head coach Chad (NT) Brusky. "Many of the players did a great job representing their school by being positive and accepting the match as a learning experience."

"This was a rough meet for the boys, but there where some really nice matches," said Viking head coach Chad Brusky. "Carl Fisk played a wonderful match against a tough opponent. He was able to keep his head up and play his game. He is starting to mature as a player and will have future success if he continues to develop."

The Vikings are scheduled to host Totino-Grace today, Thursday, May 8 and Spring Lake Park Friday, May 9. Both NSC meets begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10, NB travels to Columbia Heights for the conference tournament. Matches begin at 8 a.m.
