The boys started the day on the very difficult west side of the Ham Lake course. Nick Bratrud shot a three-over 39 on the west nine to lead the 'Cats to a 167, good enough for second place at the turn. Totino's 162 led the field after the first nine.
"It was nice to see Nick (Bratrud) have a good round," said CL head coach Perry Aadland. "He has been hitting the ball well, but he hadn't been getting putts to drop."
On the east side, the Wildcats totalled 166. However, six other teams, led by Benilde's 155, were better than Chisago Lakes. "Our 167 on the west course was good on that nine," Aadland continued. "We just didn't go low enough on the easier east course."
