The Press is looking for a graphic designer/typesetter
The Chisago County Press has a job opening. We are looking for a typesetter/graphic designer to work in our friendly, fast paced facility. Your duties will include typesetting, proof reading, composing ads via computer (Quark Express), and help with the laying out of the newspaper. The job is 30-40 hours a week, with a good wage. If you are interested, you are encouraged to send your resume promptly to: Chisago County Press, Attn: Matt Silver, PO Box 748, Lindstrom MN 55045. We hope to fill the position quickly, so please send your resume in today.
On Friday, we made the semi-annual trek to my birthplace, Iowa (yes, I know it is all starting to make sense now), to visit my grandmother. For those of you who have never read my writings about my grandmother, she is a wily, somewhat goofy 90 year-old who holds a deep place in my heart. Once again, from the moment we walked into her house, my 8 and 6 year-olds were on her like kids in a candy shop. It blows me away how these kids absolutely adore everything about this 90 year-old. I remember being young and thinking how really old my great grandmother seemed, and these kids are going to the park with their great-grandmother and continually begging for her attention. Grandparents are truly one of the most important assets in our world today.
The Chisago County Press is proud to introduce our newest member Joanne Sackreiter. Joanne joined our sales staff a couple of weeks ago and has been a wonderful addition. Joanne has previously worked in the Pioneer Press advertising sales department and can't wait to share her knowledge with us and our advertisers. We are so happy to have Joanne on our staff, and we think our advertisers will enjoy both her knowledge of print ads and her bubbly personality.
