Beloved husband, father, grandfather, age 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by family November 10, 2008.

Preceded in death by father John Goetz. Survived by wife Diane; children Kaomi, John (Shannon), and Mark (Chris); grandchildren Tanner and Micah; mother Frances; sisters Joyce (Greg) Anderson, Donna (Roger) Nelson, and Beverly Asher; many nieces and nephews.

James served in the ministry for 24 years, followed by nine years with a trucking firm. James enjoyed reading, model railroading, woodworking, and spending time with family. James was active in Chisago Lake Lutheran Mens Bible Study Group and Taylors Falls Lions Club.

Funeral Service 11 a.m. Friday November 14, 2008 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, 1 Summit Ave., Center City. Visitation 4-7 p.m. Thursday (today) at Grandstrand Funeral Home, Lindstrom and also one hour prior to service at church. Private Interment.
