The Chisago Lakes Wildcat Marching Band spent MEA break in Chicago on their band trip. The band toured the Sears Tower, The Museum of Science and Industry, The Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier, Lincoln Park Zoo and took an architectural boat tour highlighting the Chicago skyline. The group also saw the hit Broadway musical "Wicked" at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts Oriental Theatre. The band spent a day in a master class with Professor Daniel J. Harris, Marching Band Director at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. That same evening, the Wildcat Marching Band placed 1st in the Northwestern University Homecoming Parade High School Band competition where they competed against other schools from Illinois. The Wildcat Marching Band would like to thank Group Travel Planners Inc, the Band Booster chaperones and the Chisago Lakes Board of Education for approving the tour.
