8th grade science students in North Branch were recently treated to a hands-on "Ground Water Education Program" given by the Science Museum of Minnesota. This opportunity was provided to all Chisago County Public Schools through a partnership between the SSM, the Minnesota Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (MASWCD) & the Chisago Soil and Water Conservation District (Chisago SWCD). Students had a great opportunity to learn how water moves through rocks below the earth's surface, how it is stored underground, and how things that happen on the earth's surface can affect the purity of our water.
