After a wildly successful season in which both teams finished in the top five in the state tournament, the downhill skiers raked in state- and conference-wide awards.

Among the All-Staters are Joe Cartier, Philip Bottjen, Katelyn Garbe and Simone Raedeke. All four performed well throughout the year and stepped up when it really counted in the state meet.

Raedeke performed especially well over the course of the whole season. She swept the top spots at the conference races, which obviously earned her All-Northwest Suburban Conference honors.

Cartier, Bottjen and Garbe also all earned All-NWSC honors for their performance throughout the schedule.

Other boys that earned All-Conference were Mark Sandgren and Steve Wagner.

The girls had a ton of representatives on the All-NWSC team. In fact, scouring their roster, every girl on the roster was an All-Conference skier. Those girls included Katie Rayer, Araya Gamble, Abigail Bottjen, Teresa Sandberg, Amanda Angel, Garbe and Raedeke.

Angel also earned All-State Honorable Mention for her performance at the state tourney.
