Larry R. Ferrier, of the Chisago Lakes Area, died Monday, April 13 at Regions Hospital at the age of 69.

Larry was born in St. Cloud, MN to Martin and Alvina Ferrier. He graduated from Braham High School in 1957. Larry was Chief of Police in Chisago City for 25 years. He retired from the Air force Reserve as a Master Sergeant after 20 years. He was very instrumental in the growth of the community. Larry enjoyed tractors, guns, hunting, cars and motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Alvina, brothers Wayne and Martin Jr. He is survived by his children Kim (Brent), Karrie, Lawrence (Becky), Korine (Derek), Dustin (Leslie), grandchildren Nicholas, Drew (Stacy), Darrel, Bobby, Billy, Cody, Jessica, Paige, great-grandson Jackson, mother of their children Maureen McAvoy, brothers Gerald (Annie), Donald, David (Donna), sister Carol, numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chisago City with Rev. Mike Peterson, officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 17 at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom and one hour before the service at church. Interment Rice Lake Cemetery in Braham, MN.
