Laurel Phyllis Johnson, age 92 of Chisago City, Minnesota, born January 14, 1917 in Scandia, Minnesota, died Good Friday, April 10, 2009.

Laurel (Lolly) is survived by her husband of (66) years, Harold F. Johnson. Also survived by sons and daughters-in-law Donley Johnson (Kathy) of Forest Lake, Minnesota; Bishop Craig Johnson (Cindy) of Bloomington, Minnesota and Brian Johnson (Romelle) of St. Paul, Minnesota. Laurel is also survived by grandchildren Christopher Johnson (Lara) and Erin Turner (Jon) of Forest Lake, Nicholas, Laura and Kyle Johnson of Minneapolis, and great-grandchildren Jackson and Lucy Turner and Madeline and Kayla Johnson of Forest Lake.

Laurel graduated from Stillwater High School and received her Registered Nursing Degree from Bethesda Hospital. She practiced nursing at various medical facilities, including Bethesda Hospital, Stillwater Hospital, and the Chisago Lakes Hospital.

She died peacefully surrounded by her family.

Funeral services at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Chisago City, Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Visitation will precede the funeral beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church. Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church.
