He was a 1987 graduate of Chisago Lakes High School, moved into his own home in New Hope, MN in April 2000. Grimm authored "The Heart's Alphabet--Daring to Live with Cerebral Palsy" and won the national Mom's Choice Gold Award for adult memoirs. He was an inspiration to all who met him. Loved life, concerts, vacation, travel, sports and his dogs.
He is preceded in death by grandparents. Survived by parents Gordon and Esther Grimm; brother John (Amy) Grimm and their children Wesley and Morgan; sister Mary Grimm and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, April 17 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, Center City. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 16 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Gillette Foundation 200 University Avenue, East St. Paul, MN 55101 or to the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church. Private family interment.
