She was preceded in death by son, Matthew and parents, Joseph and Rose Speldrich. Joan is survived by her devoted husband Larry (Lorenz); children Barbara (Charles) Wessberg, Robert, David (Sara), and Donald (Jeanne); grandchildren Breanna, Garrett and Luke Wessberg; Benjamin and Maddie Ertl, Tyler, Bayley, and Keeley Ertl and Evan Ertl; sister and brother-in-law Barbara (Richard) Sunderman; niece and nephews Michael, Charles and Anna Sunderman.
Joan was born in Elrosa, MN in 1940. She was a homemaker, a teachers' aide, a bank teller in Sauk Centre, Lindstrom, and Center City, a bookkeeper and a hospice volunteer for many years.
Joan was a loving wife, proud mother, and grandmother who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, sports, travel, birds, playing cards and her grandchildren. Her wonderful spirit, unbeatable strength, and faith in God will be with us always. We will miss her brown eyes and beautiful smile.
Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church, Lindstrom. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Grandstand Funeral Home, Lindstrom and one hour prior to service at church.
Internment at Calvary Cemetery in Sauk Centre, MN.
