Burnell E. Johnson, 89, passed away April 28, 2009.

She was preceded in death by parents, Barney and Edna Omath of St. Paul.

Burnell is survived by husband of 62 years, Durward; children Dennis (Mary Kay) of Madison, Wi, Terry (Sue), and Barbara (Richard) LaValle, sister Shirley Olson, brothers Arnold (Joy) Omath and Sherman (Marie) Omath, eight grandchildren; Meghan, Michael, Krista, Erik, Jason, Paul, Keith, Lance and eight great-grandchildren.

Burnell had a lifelong love of sewing, knitting, baking and keeping Swedish and Norwegian traditions.

Memorial service was Friday, May 1, Zion Lutheran Church, Chisago City. Memorials preferred to: Zion Lutheran Church or Salvation Army. Interment at Chisago Memorial Park. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom.
