Emma "Emmie" Esther Teeman died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009 at The Villages of North Branch, at the age of 86.

Emma Esther Teeman was born May 12, 1922 at Weber, Minnesota to Emil H. and Agnes (Koecher) Stamm. Emmie was raised and attended grade school in Weber. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1940. On September 1, 1951, she married Roy A. Swenson and lived in the Twin Cities for a short time where Emmie worked at 3M. They moved to Lindstrom where they had a milk route and Emmie also worked at the Cambridge State Hospital. They bought a farm in Kost where they milked Gurnsey cows, raised hogs and had an egg route. Emmie and Roy had two sons, James and John. Roy passed away on December 1, 1963. Emmie continued to farm with the help of her sons and neighbors. She also drove school bus for the North Branch School District for 28 years. Emmie married Ray H. Teeman on June 6, 1970. She and Ray farmed, enjoyed gardening, taking short trips and entertaining and visiting relatives and friends.

Emmie was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Weber where she was baptized, confirmed and married. In her later years she attended Living Branch Church in North Branch. Emmie enjoyed volunteer work (at the nursing home) Green Acres, helping on the farm, entertaining and visiting with family and friends. She especially enjoyed her five grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Agnes; husbands, Roy Swenson and Ray Teeman and brother, Emil Stamm.

Emmie will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, James and wife Gwendolyn; John and wife Susan; by her five grandchildren, Karl, Kurt and Katherine Swenson; Sara and Lisa Swenson all of North Branch; her sister, Lorine Peterson of Roseville; sister in law, Violet Stamm of North Branch; sister in law Doris Peterson of Long Prairie; brothers in law Clifford (Marilyn) Swenson of Shafer and Leo Chartrand of Centuria, WI; sister in law Irene (Roger) Sellman of Lindstrom and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009 from Living Branch Church in North Branch with Rev. Steve Ferber officiating. Soloists Lisa Swenson and Tony Herstedt. Organist Carolyn Holmstrom. Serving as casketbearers Karl, Kurt, Katherine, Sara and Lisa Swenson and Duane Peterson. Interment at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, at Weber.
