Church community comes together to bring surplus food distribution site to southern part of Chisago County
Fare For All is a non-profit group that helps distribute surplus food items through a number of sites in Minnesota. There is no income qualification or personal information required to be submitted by anyone taking part.
Distribution at St. Bridget's is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. the third weekend of each month.
Food packages range from vegetarian packs with fruits, vegetables and pasta for $10, to larger meat-included packs of $25. Meat-only packages are $12. Package contents are subject to changes depending on availability of meat and produce products but usually contain ground beef, chicken and a breakfast meat like bacon. The next Fare for All distribution is February 20 and 21 at St. Bridget's.
Dates in upcoming months are: March 20 and 21, April 17 and 18, May 15 and 16.
