He was born in Minneapolis September 25, 1936 to parents George and Gladys Anderson, who preceded him in death. DeWayne is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" children Mary (Sean) Gothier and their children Emily, Anna and Will; Albert; June Goodroad and her children Jessica, Jacob, and Justin; Bradley (Carla) and their children Nathaniel and Jared; Brian (Pamela) and their children Joshua, Jacob, Isabella; Cheryl (Rick) Becker and their children Broden and Elizabeth; Carl (Rachael) and their children Alyssa, Kaitlyn, Devin and Issac, sisters Janet Hollister and Dorothy Phillips; nieces, nephews, numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
DeWayne loved to travel and camp with all his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his pets Teddy and Peppy. He shared his knowledge with anyone and everyone who would listen.
Dewey was a teacher of math & science; and was a gymnastics coach at Maple Lake, White Bear Lake and Chisago Lakes School Districts. He also was a 20 year volunteer at Hazelden Foundation in Center City.
Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday June 6, at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Private Family Interment at Sunset Memorial Park, in Minneapolis.
