Linda Rhoads served as Cook Manager for Chisago Lakes Middle School. She is known as a "people person" who enjoyed middle level students and staff. Linda has been in food service since 1987 and moved up the ranks in two school districts, Spring Lake Park and Chisago Lakes, being promoted to the important position of Cook Manager of the Middle School in 2004. With retirement Linda plans to spend time with family and to travel. Her service to the students and staff of Chisago Lakes Middle School is appreciated.
Lou Ann Mattson is retiring after a celebrated career teaching at Lakeside Elementary, which is the same school she attended K-12 when it was called Chisago City School. Being a home town teacher meant that Lou Ann gave all she had to making Chisago Lakes Schools the very best. She was instrumental in bringing challenging and enriching opportunities to students. Her principal, Warren Retzlaff, shared that she had a special love for science and valued hands on opportunities for students. She has served as a cluster teacher and helped bring in "Odyssey of the Mind." Honored as "Teacher of the Year" during her career, she was a devoted teacher to her students, keeping in contact with many long after they left her class. She was also a sought out mentor to other teachers and willingly served on district curriculum and gifted committees. Mrs. Mattson is a beautiful example of the difference an excellent teacher makes in the lives of all those she touches.
