On June 10-12, 22 North Branch Middle School students accompanied by 4 adults toured Washington, D.C. The three-day trip, which is meant as a whirlwind introduction to our nation's capital, is an annual event led by Lori Blomquist, a teacher at NBMS. This year's group highlights included visits to Arlington National Cemetery, the Holocaust Museum, the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial, Mt. Vernon, the Smithsonian Museums, the Pentagon 911 Memorial, and the United States Capitol. Students participating in this year's trip included Allie Anderson, Hope Bauer, Aaron Biederman, Kyler Burggraff, Mikayla Carlson, Tyler Dolin, Sami Forsyth, Tristan Haberman, Jake Helbig, Cameron Hufford, Kaitlyn Johnson, Reid Johnson, Woody Kocurek, Hana Krnavkova, Stephanie Lorge, Hanna Miller, Chelsea Monk, Stephanie Moynagh, Megan Murphy, Brandon Peplinski, Heather Roman, and Bobby Thomas. Adults traveling with the group were Lorrie Bauer, Deb Johnson, Barb Miller, and Lori Blomquist.
