Neither cold nor snow nor rain nor wind could keep Chisago Lakes Middle School students Madisen Vukich (left) and Emma Wilcox from riding their bikes every day to school this past year. These two young ladies rode bikes to the school every day. While the rest of their classmates were riding in their parents' warm cars or on a school bus, these two troopers braved the elements each day on two wheels with nothing to protect them from the weather except their jackets. On the last day of school, as the two passed through a huge congratulatory banner, a crowd of parents and kids were waiting outside the school for them. Vukich and Wilcox were presented with a water bottle donated by Forest Lake Cycle and Skate, a card, and a gift certificate donated by Trail Cycle in Forest Lake. These girls are an inspiration to other kids to ride their bikes to school.
