Our very own Chisago Lakes Pee Wee C Wildcats hockey team received two top awards over the past two weeks. On February 21, the team was awarded the first place league trophy, for placing first out of 12 teams in District 10. Their record for district games was 18-2-2. Also on February 21 was game one of the District 10 playoffs. Chisago Lakes beat Champlin Park 4-1 in round one. The Wildcats faced Elk River for round two, coming away with a close 2-1 win. The final game of the playoffs put the Wildcats against Centennial. Chisago pulled out a 7-2 victory to advance to the League Championship game, held on Sunday, March 1st in Anoka. The Wildcats started out strong and fast, scoring three goals in the first period against Andover. The final score was 5-1 in favor of the Wildcats -- making them the District 10 team league champions. Congratulations Chisago Lakes Pee Wee C team for a fantastic season!
