Lakeside School took three teams to the metro-area Math Masters competition last Friday, April 24. Two of the teams placed in the top ten, finishing second and sixth. There were also several individual awards, including Jenna Frost taking second out of 159 students in the individual problem solving round. It was Lakeside's most successful finish in a Math Masters competition. A team from Taylors Falls Elementary attended a Math Masters of Minnesota competition last Friday as well, held in Barron, Wi. The team captured second out of 16 teams. Team members, at right, were: Julia Clarin, Carly Peterson, James Goranson, Drew Glenna and Jacob Johnson.
