Mike Maloney was born September 9, 1980. He grew up on his parent's farm south of Lindstrom. He graduated from Chisago Lakes High School in 1999. Mike worked for Pete Nelson at the Community Market for many years and was very proud of his job. He moved to the town of Lindstrom where he lived until his accidental death May 6, 2009. He liked to go for walks uptown to visit town folk and rent old western movies.

Weekends were what Mike looked forward to as this is when he would go back to the farm. He particularly liked the spring planting season and the fall harvest. Mike's dream was always to farm and he worked towards that goal everyday. He loved animals and especially his boxers.

Mike was always positive and would ask you how your day was and answer back he was having a good day. He taught many lessons of love and compassion that everyone could benefit from. Mike is now free of his medical problems and is farming his dream with the lord, worry free. He accepted his disability like a man, never complained and was always positive.

Michael is survived by parents Robert & Virginia "Ginger" Maloney; siblings Curt (fiance Mara) Maloney, Dennis (Leslie) Maloney & their children Nick and Spencer, Doug (Shanette) Maloney and their children Elizabeth, Jareck, Dolan and Grace, Connie (Peter) Alvin and their child Mia; uncles Paul Miterko and Tom (Beverly) Harren.

Memorial Service was held Tuesday, May 12 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Lindstrom.
