North Branch students Megan Aho, Thomas Mork, Anna Munns and Gretchen Ziegler received their awards at the banquet, accompanied by Superintendent Deb Henton.
Chisago Lakes students Julie Arnold, Joshua Figini and Rachel Lundberg also received awards, but were unable to attend the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Jeff Powers, presiding Superintendent for the evening, welcomed the group.
"Allow me to be a bit corny, but I want to also recognize the teachers who love to see kids thrive. I want to recognize the parents who went on the second grade field trips and continue to travel with you as you journey forward. And lastly, we commend you, the students, for the sacrifices you have made. It takes ability plus hard work and discipline," Powers said.
Resource Training & Solutions board of directors chair Ken Anderson said, "Knowledge is power. Since you have the knowledge and the talent, go out and make a difference in our world. We are counting on you."
Criteria for selection to the recognition event is at the discretion of each school district, but is based on recommended guidelines. Schools may choose up to four seniors and have the option of inviting favorite teachers, coaches and administrators to attend.
Resource Training & Solutions has been sponsoring and fiscally supporting the event since 1987.
