Elsie D. Peters
Elsie was born October 1, 1914 in St. Paul, MN to Carl and Anna Kuehnemund. She grew up in St. Paul and was married to Ralph A. Peters on June 17, 1939. In 1947, they had a new home built in St. Paul, which Elsie lived in for 58 years. On May 1, 1947, they became parents to their daughter Bonnie. Elsie lost her husband, Ralph on May 4, 1982. In 2005, Elsie, Bonnie, and Earl moved into a home together in Chisago City, where Elsie had her own apartment. She loved living "out in the country" among all the trees and the birds, and she was so happy to have found Zion Lutheran Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph Peters, sisters Violet Lange and Eleanore Cravath and brother Carl Kuehnemund.
Elsie is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Laurents; grandson Chris (Erin) Laurents; sister-in-law Betty Kuehnemund; brothers-in-law Arnie (Donna) Peters and Cal Cravath; nieces and nephews Karen, Ron, Janice, Sandy, Larry and Judy.
Visitation 3 p.m. followed by Memorial Service 4 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church, 28005 Old Towne Road, Chisago City, 257-2713.
