Lakeside students make and distribute holiday treat baskets
Lakeside students have been making and distributing holiday treat baskets for about ten years now, and have delivered about 1,800 baskets to the elderly in the area. This is a Lakeside community project where students donate a dollar or two, cocoa, tea, wrapping paper, candy, and empty ice cream buckets. The money students bring in, then go towards purchasing the fruit. Each basket has grapefruit, apples, oranges, bananas, cocoa, tea, and candy. We partner with Meal on Wheels that distributes to many people in our area. We also work with Brinks Market each year, who does a fabulous job supplying the fruit at a wonderful, generous cost. It is a Lakeside Community Project that will continue for years to come. Thank you to everyone that helped and supported this wonderful project.
