Spend Friday nights in Almelund, starting with July 9, enjoy car show, movies and farmers market
Begin your evening at the farmers market from 4-7 p.m. on the corner of Hwy. 95 and Co. Rd. 12 in the Rod's Country Corner parking lot! Lots of good eatin' here! From 4-7 anyone who would like to show off his or her wheels is welcome at our community car show! This show is for cars 1979 and older and there is no entry free. A $25 gift card for gas or merchandise from Rod's will be given to one owner drawn from the entries for the day!
The School House Museum will be open for your visit. Come in and take a look at area history displays in this beautiful brick schoolhouse. Did you know it was used for school into the 70's?
From 6-7 p.m. the Interstate Band will entertain, playing in the picnic shelter at Triangle Park in downtown Almelund!
If you love to laugh please feel free from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m., in the Log Barn Cinema Old Tyme comedies including the likes of Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy and the Little Rascals are on the screen. The barn is located behind Almelund's School House Museum. Theater style popcorn and pop available, or bring your own. Wooden folding chairs are here for your use or bring your comfy lawn chair or a cushion. The show goes on "rain or shine!" It's free.
See in you Almelund this summer for Almelund Night on the town Friday, July 9! There's lots to do, everything is within an easy walking distance and it's all free! Almelund is 10 miles from the Chisago Lakes area on Co. Rd. 12 and midway between North Branch and Taylors Falls on Hwy. 95.
Tonight you will be able to donate toward the Chisago County Relay for Life Cancer Walk if you wish.
