LaVonne L. Johnson (Gabrielson), age 88, of Taylors Falls, Minnesota, passed away on June 9, 2010.

She was born on June 13, 1921 in Salem, South Dakota to parents Robert and Marie Gabrielson. LaVonne graduated from Salem High School in 1939 and Sioux Valley Nursing School in 1943.

She married Sheldon Johnson in Salem, South Dakota on May 6, 1950 and spent her career as a Registered Nurse until 1975. She was a wonderful grandmother and later, famous for her quilting.

She is preceded in death by husband Sheldon, parents, and sister Edna. LaVonne is survived by her daughter LaShel (George) Solberg, her son Kent (Rita) Johnson, granddaughters Miranda (Dave) Schweigert and Brittany Johnson, great-grandsons Jack and Logan Schweigert, sister Eunice Pearson, one aunt, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were Saturday, June 12, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taylors Falls.

Interment at Kahbakong Cemetery in Taylors Falls.

Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom.
