Gerald Richard Johnson
Gerald had served in the United States Army from 1955-1957. He married Charlotte Olesen on April 10, 1953 in Lindstrom, Minnesota. He owned and operated Johnson's Shell Service Station in St. Paul and later owned the 5J's Music Bar in Centuria with his wife and family for 15 years, and retiring thereafter. Gerald was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed cars and drag racing in Brainerd, Minnesota with his sons and grandsons.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carol. Gerald leaves to celebrate his memory: wife, Charlotte, of Dresser, four children: Rick (Nancy) Johnson of Centuria, Debbie Johnson of Osceola, Craig (Heidi) Johnson of Centuria, Theresa (Rick) Nelson of Chippewa Falls, WI, sisters: Sandy Rahn of Ellendale, MN, Barb (Rick) Rode of St. Paul, MN; seven grandchildren Nicholas (Stephanie) Johnson, Brandon (Kari) Henderson, Missy Johnson, Kyle (Sabrina) Boettcher, Cassie Johnson, Holly Boettcher and Andrew Johnson; three great- grandchildren Abby Henderson, Morgan Boettcher and Aiden Johnson, numerous nieces and nephews and loving family and friends.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Centuria, Wisconsin. Pastor Paul Foulke of the Holy Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate the service. The family will greet visitors at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
