Lucille O. Peterson, age 76, of Lindstrom died Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Fairview University Medical Center, in Minneapolis.

Lucille was born on June 28, 1934 in Eureka Township, Wisconsin to Ervin and Helen (Gutzmer) Johnson. She grew up, and attended schools, in Milltown. She married Donald J. Peterson December 25, 1952 at Donalds parents home in Milltown. Lucille started raising her family the following year with the birth of daughter, Linda. The family moved to the Chisago Lakes area in the late '50's where they raised six children. Lucille worked as a teller at Chisago County Bank in Center City. She also worked as a CNA at the Margaret Parmly Residence in Chisago City. Lucille's last job was at the Chisago County Jail where she managed the kitchen. Lucille also volunteered as an ambulance driver for the Chisago Lakes Rescue for 11 years receiving an award from the American Red Cross. She liked playing the accordion, going to bingo, bowling and enjoyed many family camping trips.

Lucille is survived by her children, Linda (Bruce) McGuire of Lindstrom, Cindy (Javier) Pantoja of Florida, Susan (Steve) Berglund of Milltown, WI; Dennis (Jeanette) Peterson of Lindstrom and Darrel (Judy) Peterson of Lindstrom; sisters, Arlene Smathers of Oklahoma City, OK and Janice (Chuck) Kruse of Milltown, WI; brothers, Russell (Bev) Johnson of Lindstrom and Kenneth (Cindy) Johnson of Forest Lake; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald (February 15, 1986) daughter Laurie; grandson Malachi; granddaughter Emelia and brother Ernest Johnson.

Memorial services Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom with Rev. Paul Bjorklund officiating. Interment was at Granum Cemetery near Milltown, WI.
