Kenneth A. Johnson, age 89 of North Branch, MN died October 2, 2010. He was born in Aberdeen, SD on September 5, 1921 to parents Joseph and Minnie Johnson.

Ken is preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife Corrine; sons Gordon (Gail) Johnson and Bruce (Kristin) Johnson; daughters Linda (Mike) Oehlers, Jackie (Gale) Babcock, Kathy (Rob) Jorgensen, Karen Gage, Sandy (Steve) Miller, Deanna (Bob) Brown, Vickie (Duane) Pearson, and Renae (Tim) Duffney; 39 grandchildren, 93 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild along with many other relatives and friends.

Ken was interested in just about everything. He had strong faith with a love of God, love of family and love of friends. He was a faithful, loyal hard working man with a sense of humor. He was the best husband, father and friend. He had (and remembered) all the nicknames he gave to his grandchildren. Ken will be remembered for his strong handshake, that was feared by all who knew him. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Spring Lake Lutheran Church in North Branch. Visitation 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch and also one hour prior to the service at church. Interment with military honors at Spring Lake Lutheran Church Cemetery.
