He was born January 11, 1921 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated in 1939 from Harding High School in St. Paul. Lloyd served in the United States Army during WWII and was called back during the Korean war. He co-owned Lieberg-Peterson Cement Contractors. Later opened Lloyd Plastics Company, improving attic ventilation with his invention of Lloyd's Superchutes. On June 25, 1942 Lloyd married Esther E. Peterson at Faith Lutheran in Forest Lake, Minnesota. They were married 68 years, and had three children: Gloria (Richard) O'Neill, Dianne (Jon) Lillehaugen and L. Allen Peterson. Five grandchildren; Shannon (Tom) Johnson, Heather (Edric) Funk, Erin (Tom) Linnell, Jon (Iryny) Lillehaugen and Sara Lillehaugen; seven great-grandchildren; Mehgan, Tommy, Katie, Courtney, Connor, Ashley and Andrew.
Memorial Service at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, Center City, Saturday, April 16, 10 a.m. Visitation starts at 10 a.m. and the service is at 11 a.m.
