Wilbur David Bloom, "Socky" "loving brother and uncle". Wilbur was born April 24, 1929 and went home to be with the Lord on July 27, 2011. He was a life long resident of Chisago County where much of his life was spent farming with his brother Ralph. His later years were spent working at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Naples, Florida.

An avid outdoorsman, Wilbur especially loved hunting and fishing and could relate many exciting tales of adventure. He was a resident of Parmly LifePointes. Wilbur was also a life member of Chisago Lake Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his sister Lillian (Les) Johnson; brother Richard (Alice) Bloom; and countless nieces and nephews. Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents William and Anna Bloom; brothers Donald, Byron, Ralph, and Robert; sisters Helen, Ruth, and Grace.

Funeral Services 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City. Interment at Chisago Lake Cemetery in Center City. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. Condolences may be left online at www.grandstrandfh.com.
