New dealership for Central Motors gets green light from North Branch City Council
The North Branch City Council cleared the way for the project after giving its blessing to a request from dealership architects to utilize materials for the showroom portion of the structure that aren't standard in city code. There'll be a majority of glass and metal exterior on this portion of the building, instead of the masonry type materials usually called for.
Central Motors is currently in North Branch doing business north of the I-35 interchange. It sells and services Chevrolet products.
General Manager Dan Dunn said Central leases the current location, so he couldn't comment on any future uses there once Central relocates. There's excitement about having a new expanded site, Dunn continued. The 17,600 square foot project allows for all the products, parts and services a comprehensive dealership should provide, plus there will be two charging stations for the Volt vehicle, a car wash and a welcoming customer lounge.
