Robert K. Nickelson, age 74, of Lindstrom, died peacefully at home Friday, December 9, 2011, surrounding by his loving family.

Bob was born Sept. 25, 1937 to Victor and Gladys in Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from Roosevelt High School, Mpls and attended Dunwoody Institute. He was a member of the Plumbers' Union, a master plumber and ran his own plumbing business for many years. The family moved to the Chisago Lakes area in 1969 and lived on South Center Lake, and later moved to Lindstrom.

Bob was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His favorite things were fishing, grouse hunting and snowmobiling. "The Bobber" especially enjoyed spending the summers at their lake home on Lake of the Woods with Sandy, family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandy; sons Jeffrey (Cindy) and John (Sandy); daughter Jodi (Tom) Greene; grandchildren Andrea (fiance Grant), Erica (fiance CJ), Allen, Kayla, Laura and Adam; sister Beverly (Tom) Koch; sister-in-law Alberta Evans.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. with visitation an hour prior at Trinity Lutheran Church, 13025 Newell Ave., Lindstrom, MN, 651-257-5129.
