Under the direction of Leah R. Steffen/ Fine Arts Dept. and Amy Allram/Physical Education, Taylors Falls 4th and 5th grade students presented a performance Feb. 24 titled "Pioneering." This extravaganza included authentic folksongs and dances, artwork and set decorations as well as Conestoga wagons pulled by students (oxen). Students played Orff instruments to accompany vocal ensembles singing Oh How Lovely, Arkansas Traveler, and Turkey in the Straw. The evening ended with the students singing an emotional arrangement of America the Beautiful. Audience members raved at the high level of performance by the students and how professional their presentation was.

A very moving performance of Amazing Grace was presented on baroque recorders. (right photo)
